THE POWER OF CONNECTION:
Our Partnership with Parents

At Kids Connection, we know that the partnership between home and school is essential to the success of our students. When parents and teachers work together, children feel supported and motivated, building confidence and a sense of belonging. This connection between school and home is foundational to who we are as a community, and we are committed to cultivating it in meaningful ways.

We believe that students thrive when they see their parents and teachers united in encouraging and believing in them. That’s why we foster opportunities for families to be actively involved in their child’s learning journey. Whether it’s through parent-teacher conferences where we plan each child’s next steps together or parent-led activities that enrich our school culture, we value the contributions of our families in building a vibrant and supportive environment.

At Kids Connection, we do not require volunteer hours from our parents, however, there are many ways to get involved! Some examples include:

Parent Teacher Connection (PTC)

Every Kids Connection family is a part of our Parent Teacher Connection (PTC), a formal group that fosters strong relationships and supports special events throughout the year. The PTC raises funds for exciting activities such as our annual Halloween Carnival and other community celebrations. Parent volunteers also help organize and lead a variety of programs, including MOEMS (Math Olympiad), the Spelling Bee, and more!

Our parents also play a vital role in supporting athletics by coaching our sports teams and helping to coordinate competitions. In the classrooms, parents step up as classroom helpers, chaperones for field trips, and organizers of special projects and events. Throughout the year, parents are invited to join us for celebrations of student achievements, whether it’s a publishing party for a writing unit, Science Night, or our annual Celebration of Learning in February.

A Community Built on Connection

The strength of Kids Connection comes from the unity between our families and educators. We deeply value the role parents play in our community, and we are grateful for the many ways they support their children’s learning and growth. By staying connected, we can ensure that every child at Kids Connection feels valued, encouraged, and motivated to reach their fullest potential.
