Welcome to KC Chinese School (KC 启东中文班)

Immersive Mandarin Learning with Purpose
Kids Connection is proud to offer KC Chinese School (KCCS), an immersive Mandarin after-school program designed for elementary students who want to develop strong language skills in a structured, academically grounded environment.
Like Coyote Pack, KCCS provides care on our safe, secure elementary campus from dismissal until 6:00 p.m. The difference is focus: students in KCCS spend their afternoons fully immersed in Mandarin language learning, culture, and enrichment, guided by our dedicated KC Chinese teaching team.
KC Chinese School allows families to combine after-school care with meaningful language instruction—without adding extra classes or commitments outside the school day.

STUDY HARD, PLAY HARD
Rooted in the philosophy of “Study Hard, Play Hard,” KC Chinese School balances rigorous language learning with joyful, age-appropriate experiences.
Students absorb Mandarin naturally through:
-
Daily conversation and interaction
-
Real-life language scenarios
-
Structured instruction aligned with a clear curriculum progression
In addition to Mandarin instruction, students benefit from customized math and English enrichment, aligned with Kids Connection’s academic expectations, ensuring strong overall academic support during the afternoon.
For younger students, the program emphasizes:
-
Safe outdoor play
-
Nursery rhymes and songs
-
Developmentally appropriate language activities
Throughout the year, cultural traditions, crafts, games, and performances are woven into the program, helping students experience Mandarin not just as a subject—but as a gateway to culture, connection, and confidence.

Curriculum Progression
KC Chinese School follows the Chinese Language Textbook series (《中文》) from Jinan University, a respected and widely used curriculum for overseas learners. Instruction builds systematically year over year, allowing students to develop strong foundational skills and progress with confidence.
Students also participate in cultural activities and performances throughout the year to reinforce language learning and cultural understanding.

The KCCS Difference
At KCCS, a strong Mandarin curriculum is just the foundation. What truly sets KCCS apart is how language learning is integrated into a thoughtfully designed after-school experience that supports students academically, socially, and developmentally.
KC Chinese School provides a structured afternoon that balances academic focus with movement, creativity, and connection—helping students stay engaged and energized through the end of the day.
Homework Support and Academic Reinforcement
Students are provided dedicated time and guidance to complete homework and practice organization skills. This ensures academic responsibilities are supported while maintaining balance within the afternoon and reinforcing strong learning habits.

Language learning is reinforced through cultural experiences that bring Mandarin to life and allow students to apply skills in meaningful ways.
Activities may include:
-
Cultural arts and calligraphy
-

-
Games and collaborative activities that reinforce language through play
These experiences help students see Mandarin not just as a subject, but as a living language connected to culture, creativity, and community.
